I founded Kake Kreations in 2005, not long after my son turned one. I discovered my love of baking and cake
decorating as my son's 1st birthday was approaching. My son was born on St. Patricks Day, and I thought what
better smash cake to give him than a cake shaped as a clover. Well, the idea was better than the results I had.
Not knowing much about the cake decorating world, I visited a couple of grocery stores with my request only to
be turned down. So I decided that since I couldn't get help, I would do it myself.
Armed with absolutley no knowledge, I bought the clover shaped pan and also a few cake supplies. As I
checked out of the store, the cashier said to me, "When you buy this kit of supplies you get a free 4 week cake
decorating class, would you like to sign up?" Being that it was free, what did I have to lose? So
I took the class and instantly fell in love with cake decorating. After the first class was over, I signed
up for level 2 then level 3. I then began to take "specialty" classes such as candy making and fondant.
I also recently completed (2) gumpaste flower classes. I then started getting requests from family for my
cakes and my business took off from there...Kake Kreations was formed.
I chose the name because I was so proud that I created a cake for my son.....right now I do this part time
as I have a full time office job Monday to Friday. Cake decorating gives me the chance to do something for
others, there is nothing like seeing the face of a child when they see the cake they always wanted or a bride
saying you made her day.
Take a look at the gallery to see the other creations I have made for inspiration for YOUR next cake, I would love
to hear from you and help you "kreate your next kake".
